We are beyond proud of our Student Chapter!

The Associated General Contractors of America (AGC) has announced that the AGC Student Chapter at Boise State University has earned the Construction Management Skills Award in the 2020 AGC Outstanding Student Chapter Contest!  The judges were greatly impressed with the chapter's  preconstruction services and administrative activities such as design reviews, constructability reviews, budgeting, value engineering, estimating, scheduling, coordination, preplanning, and material procurement.

Construction spending in October increased 1.3% from September and 3.7% from October 2019 to a seasonally adjusted annual rate of $1.439 trillion, the Census Bureau reported on Tuesday.

Seasonally adjusted construction employment in October trailed pre-pandemic February levels in 37 states and exceeded them in 13 states and the District of Columbia, according to AGC’s analysis of Bureau of Lab

A cost squeeze for contractors intensified in October as the producer price index (PPI) for inputs to new nonresidential construction increased for the sixth consecutive month (up 0.5% from September).

Along with fellow Idahoans,  “Action” Jackson will be honored at the Southwest Idaho Philanthropy Day celebration on November 13 at 11:00 am MT. The Outstanding Adult Philanthropist award will be given to “Action” along with two other deserving Idahoans. Their good works will be showcased during the online event.
